Former Notre Dame football player Rudy Ruettiger will present five Mountain View School District students with $1,000 scholarships and a medallion from the Rudy Foundation at Ruettiger's "Rudy Awards Presentation."
The event is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Payne Elementary School, 2850 N. Mountain View Road in El Monte.
Ruettiger is a motivational speaker, author and the man the movie "Rudy" was based on.
